The Red Hand
TODO: History of Brindol goes here.
The Red Hand’s Revival
Ten years after the destruction of the Red Hand, an outbreak of violence and banditry occurred in the Brindol region. Goblins and hobgoblins bearing the mark of the Red Hand attacked the city itself, kidnapping seven of Brindol’s citizens, stealing five treasures from the Hall of Great Valor, and causing immense damage to property in the city.
These attacks were led by Sinruth, a hobgoblin with grandiose dreams of reviving the Red Hand and returning it to its former power. However, adventurers – the future Heroes of Overlook – penetrated Sinruth’s lair at Castle Rivenroar, recovered the stolen relics, rescued the six living prisoners, and slew the hobgoblin warchief.
Some weeks later, calamity befell the city once again when bounty hunters trailed the Heroes of Overlook to Brindol. In an attempt to capture the Heroes, the bounty hunters burned the Hall of Great Valor to the ground.
